African Adolescent Girl Fund

The African Adolescent Girl Fund (AGF) is a dedicated initiative by the Fidel Götz Foundation focused on empowering adolescent girls and strengthening Catholic secondary schools across Sub-Saharan Africa.

We work at the intersection of education, leadership, and sustainability, ensuring that young women have the tools and opportunities to thrive, lead, and create lasting change.

Vision

We envision an Africa where female leaders stand shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts in politics, business, and social services. A continent where equality is not just a dream but a reality, and where empathetic leadership and creativity drive an inclusive and prosperous future for all.

Mission

Our mission is to empower adolescent girls and strengthen Catholic secondary schools across Sub-Saharan Africa by investing in education, mentorship and sustainable development. Through scholarships, leadership training, and financial sustainability initiatives, we nurture a generation of confident, capable female leaders who will shape the future of their communities, economies, and Africa as a whole.

Objectives

Empower Young Women
Foster a network of ambitious and empowered adolescent girls who are leading change, driving economic growth, and challenging societal norms to create a more equitable and inclusive society.

Strengthen Catholic Secondary Schools
Partner with Catholic organizations across East and Southern Africa to ensure the long-term sustainability of secondary schools, creating a ripple effect that uplifts entire communities and fosters transformative change.
